Jaw Crusher, Jaw Crushing Plant

Jaw crusher is a type of crusher that uses jaw compression to break up pieces of material. The jaw crusher is a versatile material crushing machine. It is used to crushing rocks of any strength, slags, metal materials. The fineness of the finished product for small crushers can up to 10 mm. Jaw crushers are available in all crushing classes: coarse, medium and fine. The main indicator that characterizes a jaw crusher is the size of the inlet and outlet. The outlet of the crusher can be adjusted by changing the gap between the crushing elements of the unit. The size of the discharge opening determines the fraction of the crushing material at the exit from the jaw crusher. Depending on the size of the fraction of the feed material, we provide several models of jaw crushers.
Jaw Crusher Operating Principle
The principle of operation of a jaw crusher is based on the compression of the material by the working surfaces (cheeks), which leads to the occurrence of high compression and shear stresses, and destroy the material. One of the jaws of the crusher is stationary, the other is mounted on a connecting rod that moves the upper edge of the cheek so that the cheek makes a swinging motion. The connecting rod shaft is driven through a V-belt transmission from the engine (electric, diesel). A second pulley is attached to the same shaft, which plays the role of a flywheel and counterweight for the main pulley. The lower edge of the movable jaw has the ability to adjust the position in the horizontal direction (mechanical or hydraulic drive), which affects the width of the minimum slot, which determines the maximum size of the material at the exit from the crusher. The cheeks form a wedge-shaped crushing chamber, in which the material under the action of gravity moves after destruction from the upper part, into which large pieces are loaded, to the outlet (unloading) slot.
